ObamaCare: Government Dumbbells Produce Weaker People
Bill Maher, “the reason health care is so expensive is because you’re all so unhealthy.”
I’ve been hearing this mantra [group of words that are considered capable of "creating transformation"] stated several times in the last few weeks; the need of Americans to get in better health as a main point in the success of ObamaCare. This may very well be true, it may well be true also that we shouldn’t smoke, drink alcohol, bake in the sun, stay up late, run with scissors, pick our nose, make bad faces, say nasty words ….
There are a lot of things we shouldn’t do but here is one thing the government shouldn’t do; try to legislate ‘being’ out of human. Being a human being in a free society, means having the right to live their life as they see fit or unfit with the government staying well out of it; that is why we refer to it as “their” life. People have the right to run their experience on this marble as they wish as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. Ahhhh … there you have it, see! Once you make the government [of the People, by the People, for the People] responsible for healthcare, then the focus will not be on life as much as cost and any action deemed by the government to be costly to the People means that action or lack thereof, is hurting someone else. It now becomes the governments business in how you conduct your life and at what cost it will be to “The People.” As it currently stands with personal health insurances, you buy a policy, go through a medical; if you smoke or drink to excess you pay more on your monthly premium; the insurance company doesn’t legislate you out of your behavior, they simply place a penalty which you then have the CHOICE to accept or not. The government plan will give “The People” no choice; it will be mandated to all through taxes and legislation. The government medical plan will be the inroad into your life and the loss of further freedoms. Already there is talk about passing laws that will not allow parents to smoke in their home when children are present. Some might agree with this; who in their right mind wants to harm the children [?] – but what is really taking place – is the loss of the final vestige of your personal freedom, the American home, and once that hymen is broken other legislation will be sure to follow. As my sister said, “Well parents shouldn’t be smoking around their children.” True, but what will be next? Parents being arrested for not keeping a clean house or letting the milk go over its expiry date or a child coming upon one of mom’s sex toys that wasn’t properly put away with the necessary trigger lock. There was a woman speaking with regards to the obesity problem of American’s; expressing her opinion that Child Services should be called in when school officials see a child that is overweight because, as she put it, “it’s child abuse.”
Well there you have it! If the Liberals have their way, you’ll be arrested and fined for little Joey’s hand getting into the cookie jar.
We the People must understand what the Founders understood, the more powerful the government, the weaker the People.
It’s not your health that’s in jeopardy … it’s your rights.
Am I right? I’m damn write!

Hmmm… you’ve got me re-thinking the seatbelt… I hope its not an obese, chain smoking, MacDonalds eating paramedic who’s there to help us when we are forty feet from the car with the doors closed and a sphincter like hole in the windscreen… I had a choice at least! Kids don’t have the choice when their parents smoke out the house and serve deep fried hotdogs for dinner every night. Some people need guidance, and or a certain amount of force to do the right thing… they want the right to be able to walk in to the ER when their kids are having an violent asthma attack, but they also want the right to poison someone who doesn’t have a choice…
Damn Wrong.

Health eventually fails. When that time draws near it is the duty of the medical industry to capture as much of your wealth as possible before you cease to become a possible source of income. I agree that a healthy life style will keep your money in your pocket as long as possible, but , unless your end comes unexpectedly the doctors will get everything. As my income is very low I have a very good chance of keeping everything until the day I die, which may be sooner than my well to do brother and sisters as they can afford better health care. I miss bacon, eggs and hash browns.
